DNS records tell the internet how to reach services for a domain — A/AAAA records point to servers, MX records point to mail servers, TXT records hold verification and policy text, and CNAME records alias one domain to another.
It queries Google's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver directly from your browser, the same infrastructure that powers 8.8.8.8.
The domain may not have that record type configured, or it may still be propagating if it was changed recently — DNS changes can take anywhere from minutes to 48 hours to fully propagate.
